Back up your chats and media
How long Adwix Connect keeps your messages and media, how you're warned before anything is removed, and how to download your own copy.
How long we keep your data

When a media file is removed, the chat still shows the message and its caption, with a note that the file was removed.
You're always told first
Before anything is removed, the account owner gets an email, a notification on the app and a banner in the dashboard saying what will go and when. The first time, you get 30 days' notice; after that, at least 7 days.
Download a backup
- Go to Settings → Security & Data.
- Under Data & backup, click Download next to Chats & contacts.
- Under Media, click each month you want to keep.
On the Android app, the files are saved to Downloads › Adwix Connect.
What's in the backup
- chats/ — one text file per conversation, WhatsApp-style, with the date and time of every message.
- contacts.csv — your contacts, ready for Excel or Google Sheets.
- data.json — everything in machine-readable form (messages, contacts, campaigns, templates, flows, automations and billing). Passwords and tokens are never included.
- Media ZIPs — one per month. Each chat file names the media file it refers to, so you can match them up.
Only the account owner can download backups. Agents don't see this section.
